I regularly undertake commissions and have many happy customers.
Commissions take a lot of planning.
We will have to meet and discuss things like how large the piece needs to be, what situation and impact required, and materials to be used in the final piece.
Then we need to talk about the subject: person, place, object etc.
From these discussions I can start to prepare ideas and thoughts. I will give you a price for the work.
PRICE GUIDE: Watercolour is the most cost effective medium. So for this reason i have a single charge for watercolour commissions of £350.00. It’s been the same for years:)
The most time consuming and therefore expensive medium is oils. But the results are fantastic and timeless.
Other options include Ipad paintings but these entail not just the artistic work, but also the output. Usually printed onto hard sunstrate like Dibond, a significant cost is added. Of course these also look fab, and best of all the final piece can be a miniature or the side of a building, and everything in between.
So essential to meet, discuss, plan.
Digital ipad commissions are unusual and flexible in output, printable on any material you like from canvas to wallpaper.
Could you really ask for anything more fabulous than your own oil painting?
