Expressive and partly abstracted seascape inspired by Chichester Harbour near Emsworth and Langstone.
This area of Outstand Natural Beauty has been the inspiration for many pieces, as well as being the area I grew up in.
Unusually this stretch of sea is guarded from the main elements by being enclosed by Hayling Island. Many of the ravages of the Ocean are protected from it. The result is a marshy stretch of sea with lots of seagrass, verdant banks and a mixed gravel/mud beaches. It is a very busy boating area, due to its protection and the strong tidal difference.
